Little taste, poor shelf life
The only bits of this loaf I found tasty were the seeds on top. The actual bread was unremarkable. Although shown as having a guaranteed life of at least 3 days including day of delivery, mine had to be eaten within 36 hours of delivery to meet the 'best before' tag on its neck. Seems to be some confusion about 'best before' and 'best by' dates, especially on loaves. I appreciate that neither is a clear 'use by' date, but there's still a distinction to be drawn.
If you miss Percy Ingle Low GI
Hi really miss Percy Ingles (historic East London bakery). This really brings me joy, as Im reminded of their cult Low GI loaf! Great toast, great sandwiches. I keep in the fridge. No mould after a week, so not sure about other customers issues.
So tasty
This is my favourite bread,it's so tasty and feels healthy!!its so reasonably priced considering how expensive other breads of this quality are.
Mouldy?
Reading previous reviews about bread going mouldy quickly, it means that there are no nasty chemical ingredients added, therefore shorter shelf life. But it can be easily sorted by splitting the loaf and freezing the rest. If you dont mind it from freezer though.
Delicious but goes mouldy quickly
Bought it Friday. Blue mould by Wednesday.
Delicious!
A tasty light bread that does not crumble and break when buttering. Really delicious when fried.
