History
Riesling is a unique grape variety which thrives in Germany's cool climate, producing a range of aromas and styles as a reflection of its origin. This "sense of place" is often referred to as being the result of terroir interactions - the synergy between the soil and the climate, the weather, the water supply and man's influence in vineyard and winery. The winemakers at Reh Kendermann pay tribute to the influence in particular of the different soils on the character and taste of their Riesling wines.
Regional Information
The Pfalz is one of Germany's key wine-producing regions and is situated in the southwest, across the border from Alsace. The weather here is generally sunny and dry, as the vineyards are in the lee of the Haardt Mountains, allowing the grapes to reach optimum ripeness. The soils are fertile with a high mineral content on underlying limestone.

Vinification Details
Selected specifically for Morrisons, the grapes were harvested at optimum ripeness. They were then pressed gently, cooled down to 5°C and the heavier matter was allowed to settle naturally, leaving behind a clean juice with enhanced fruit definition. The juice was then fermented at low temperatures of 14-16°C / 57-61°F for approximately 3 weeks in stainless steel.

nice off dry Riesling
I prefer a dry Riesling so this was pretty good. Can make a nice change from other dry whites. Price was a little high - but the wine was good.

Excellent crisp dry Riesling
An excellent example of a good dry or off-dry Riesling. Nice to see a good German one , when many of the quality Rieslings available here come from New Zealand.

Not the best riesling... not sweet
We love riesling, but this is just not sweet enough to fit into the same category to be called a riesling tbh. If you don't like riesling usually due it it being too sweet.. then try this this one. Else, don't bother, the slightly cheaper one available is considerably better tasting IMHO.
