History
Santa Julia was created in honour of the only daughter of José Zuccardi, current director of Familia Zuccardi Winery.
Regional Information
Valle de Uco is a viticultural region southwest of Mendoza, in Argentina. Situated along the Tunuyán River, the Uco Valley is widely considered one of the top wine regions in Mendoza, and all of Argentina.

Vinification Details
Uco Valley vineyards are planted at elevations between 945 and 1402m above sea level with a drip irrigation used. The grapes are then destemmed and crushed. They undergo cold maceration for 5-7 days before classic vinification with indigenous yeast and fermented at 77°F (25-27°C). Then macerated for 20 days with periodic remontage and delestage. Part of the wine is then aged in French oak barrels.

good but some of the earlier years were better.

Always pretty reliable but not as good as some of the earlier vintages. Id rate this years a 7 out of 10 therefore at a pound a point ( on my scale) Id buy if its on offer. Previous years this has been an 8 or 9 out of 10.... Good juicy big wine - lovely with red meat! Or can be enjoyed by itself.

Really enjoyable but 2018 only available now

A bit too easy to drink haha, but really tasty as standalone or with food. 2018 vintage is not as good as 2017 and although advertised as 2017 this no longer seems to be available.
