We're not the only ones to think our Ruby Port is something out of the ordinary. The official IVDP tasting panel, Câmara de Provadores, thought so too and granted permission for it to be labelled Special Reserve. Yes, it is special, but please don't reserve it - drink it now and enjoy its gorgeous velvety texture and deep fruity taste. It's been maturing since 2008 and is now ready to blow you over. It has a rich, powerful punch of plum and cherry flavours that slips down a treat after a good meal. If you love a good hearty Merlot, then you're going to love our Special Reserve Port - just think Merlot with a turbo.

Excellent value port !

Thought this port needed an up-to-date review, especially as it's now received an award, which is why we've just tried it for first time. Wife's a massive port fan, has been since we met 35 years ago. Wife and friends enjoyed the first bottle so much she Just bought another bottle, and she still likes it a lot. At this price (£8.50) it's much better value than similar-tasting offerings from Dows, Cockburns etc which cost a few quid more. Please keep selling this Morrisons.

ok I guess

I suppose that it was OK but like the other reviewer stated, it lacked depth. This by itself would not be an issue however for the same price you can pick up a bottle of Dow's so the price point is wrong. Make it maybe a quid or too cheaper and you'll be nearer reality.

Lacks depth.

My husband bought me a Morrisons tawy port some time ago which was excellent. I thought this was it-but how wrong was I! This one is a bit thin, certainly lacks depth and not up to the mark for me. Would not but again.

Very nice

Bit of a Port fan, just tasted a 30 year old Taylors, then Cockburns Special Reserve then this, and for eight quid it's very nice
