Crumbs rather than pieces
This was the worst quality lardons weve ever had. The pieces of bacon were like crumbs rather than actual lardons. It looked like someone had blended pieces of bacon. Sorely disappointed and wont buy again.
Too smoked
these lardons were far too smoked it was just like eating kippers if I'd wanted kipper flavour lardons I would have bought kippers such a shame I binned the other pack
Bits and pieces!
Just right for making bacon and cabbage with potatoes and leeks. Beware! They came in two very small packets, but still useful.
Good in a carbonara
There is a few fatty bits but it was great for my carbonara, added a lovely smokey taste.
disgrace
After discarding the pieces of fat I was left with a quarter of what should have been in the package. It was nearly all fat
Good, but not great.
I buy these on a regular basis, but I do have to drain them 1st. They do give out quite a lot of water during cooking and some bits are too chewy, which my dog, Oi loves as a treat. The lardons really help with added flavour for my pasta sauces and shepherd pie.
