Cooking Guidelines
Cooking Instructions - General. Cooking appliances vary. These instructions are given as a guide. Please ensure that the product is piping hot throughout before serving. If product is frozen, defrost thoroughly and use within 24 hours.; Hob - From Chilled. Remove all packaging, except netting. Place in a large pan of cold water. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for 27 minutes per 500g. Remove joint from pan allow to stand for 5 minutes before slicing. Alternatively for best results after boiling transfer immediately to a roasting pan and place in the centre of a pre-heated oven 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6 for 20 minutes. Remove joint from tray and allow to stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
Remove netting before serving. Serve and enjoy.; Oven cook - From Chilled. Pre-heat your oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6. Remove packaging, except netting. Wrap joint in foil and roast for 35 minutes per 500g. At the end of the cooking time, remove the foil and cook for a further 20 minutes. Allow to stand for 5 minutes before slicing.

Salty

Great value joint and made lovely crackling the only downside was myself and my husband found it very salty however our daughter loved it so cleary down to your personal taste regarding salt.

Not what I expected

This joint was delivered today weighing just 864g!!! Clearly states min weight as 1.2kg, so something has gone wrong here. Very disappointing.

Lovely tasty joint

Had for lunch yesterday, two and a half hours in a slow cooker with onion carrot and celery then 20 minutes in a hot oven with honey and cloves, very tasty! Plenty for 6 \ 8 people not too salty.

huge joint

Son wanted a gammon joint for a change. Not having done this before I checked and found this beauty. Followed instructions on the packaging and it came out perfectly. Moist, salty bacony goodness and the rind crackled in some parts too. Jolly good joint and plenty left for sarnies or whatever. Would feed a fair few if you arent greedy like we are.

Great Gammon

I was sadly disappointed this week with the Gannon. It had no fat or rind, I like this because I roast the joint then remove the rind, score the fat into diamonds and coat it with a coarse mustard, garlic and honey dressing. Then pop it back into the oven for 15 mins. But couldn't do this , this time. Still love the Gannon joint tho.
