Nice tasting apple but quality not good

Nice tasting apple but unfortunately not good quality, they are often bruised and damaged e.g. 'cuts', puncture marks, etc. Also, not a constant size, sometimes large, sometimes small like the children's ones you buy.

We get these every week because Morrisons has so few options for apples in their grocery delivery service. But according to hubby they've been so floury in the last 4 or more deliveries as to be inedible. Trouble is, the bananas are always so black, and there's still no satsumas (in mid December!) so I'm struggling for alternatives.
