Cooking Guidelines
Oven cook - From Chilled. Cooking appliances vary. These instructions are given as a guide. Please ensure that the product is piping hot throughout before serving. If product is frozen, defrost thoroughly and cook as chilled.
Pre-heat oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6.
Remove from fridge 20 minutes before use.
Remove packaging and roll out pastry to required thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut and use as required. Allow to stand for 5 minutes before baking. Place on middle shelf in the oven for 10 minutes or as stated in your recipe.
Serve and enjoy.

Steak and Ale Pie
Ingredients:
700g braising steak
2 tbsp sunflower oil
500g shallots, peeled
250g button mushrooms
2 tbsp plain flour
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp tomato purée
500ml real ale
400ml beef stock
1 tbsp demerara sugar
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
500g block puff pastry
1 egg
Method:
1. Cut the braising steak into bite-sized cubes. Heat the oil in a large flameproof casserole dish and fry the meat until evenly browned all over. Add the shallots and mushrooms to the pan and cook for a further 5 minutes, stirring.
2. Sprinkle with the flour and stir well. Cook for 2 minutes.
3. Mix together the Worcestershire sauce, tomato purée, ale, stock and sugar and pour over beef. Season to taste. Bring to the boil, stirring, and cook on a high heat for 5 minutes. Reduce heat and cook, covered, for 1 hour 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the lid for the final 15 minutes of cooking time.
4. Remove the puff pastry from the fridge 20 minutes before required. Pre-heat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6. Divide the beef mixture between 6 individual pudding dishes with a rim. Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut out 6 lids just slightly larger than the pudding dishes.
5. Re-roll the trimmings and cut into strips. Beat the egg with a little water and brush over the rims of the dishes, press thin strips of pastry around the rims then lift a pastry a pastry lid on top, pressing down well to seal. Use any trimmings to cut out pastry leaves to decorate each pie and brush with beaten egg. Make two small slits in the top of each pie to allow steam to escape. Bake for 35-40 minutes until pastry is golden and puffed up. Serve and enjoy.

very good quality
My son makes cheese and ham herby whirls with this and the first time he undercooked it (hes yet to learn to observe whats going on in the oven rather than blindly follow instructions) but the second time he got it spot on. Crumbly flaky and golden, this works really well for his whirls and I get supper when Im home from work. If my teen can use it and likes it then it has to be good. Better than the leading brand in my book and cheap enough that I dont mind him using it all up. Keep at least one in the fridge for him. Perfect

This is fantastic and so convenient, produces the nicest pie ever, its thick so for a fair top size pie I cut in half, si buttery and tasty makes life a little easier when all you have to do is defrost and roll out, love it!
