I love the texture, the crispy chewy skin and then gelatinous inside. The flavour might be a little off-putting for some. Because there is so much bacteria on a pigs feet they use ammonia to clean it. so it does have that vague ammonia smell and taste. I'm glad I have tried it at least once, probably won't have them again though.
I am really glad I found this product! I usually come to Morrisons for this and marrow bone which cannot be bought elsewhere. I usually make meat jelly which is very tasty! I can see some bad reviews but they just don't know how to prepare. Look for recipes of meat jelly, aspic, very simple. It needs lots of garlic, like 3 heads! Also, this food is full of collagen, my friend thought I had been to a beauty saloon when I was just eating this:)
We usually put smoked shank and extra vegetables too, no need to eat the trotter itself though some members of my family like that too. Give it a try, but look for proper ways how to make it!
