Lovely
Well I'm a Yorkshire lass and remember well the Parkin my mother used to make, this is not bad at all really, although I agree that it is not as dark as it could be, I thought it was soft & sticky and very moreish. My only real complaint is the hard, tiny pieces of oatmeal that get stuck between my teeth!

Eee by gum, parkin this is not
When I were a lass, growing up in Yorkshire, the parkin I made was dark (made with as much treacle as golden syrup - if not more), sticky and full of medium oatmeal. I was so excited to try this - especially from a Yorkshire supermarket. Utterly butterly gutted! Too pale by half and not nearly enough oatmeal (if any? Ingredients list oats, not oatmeal). I shall simply have to bake my own, obviously!!

Almost as good as my grandmother's
This is gorgeous. Reminds me of my Lincolnshire nanna's parkin. This will be a regular order now. Morrison's don't change this!

not traditional parkin as I remember it. agree with others, gritty not dark enough. found the ginger taste strange.
