Like many of the stores own tinned sauces containing food eg:- this, beans etc the sauces can be thin. With beans i just heat up on a lower setting but do it for 2 - 3 mins longer. It won't burn due to lower heat but the sauce really does thicken up and its just as tasty as the more expensive brands. With mac n cheese i microwave it for the time stated then pop it in the oven on med-high heat for 6 or 7 minutes! You will have a lovely thick sauce, thicker and tastier than the 'ready meals' that are over twice the price. You can just do it all in the oven but it takes much longer and by using the microwave first it saves on gas/electric costs. *Put a little grated cheese on top before going in the oven to get that crispy browned topping!*
Opened the can to be met with a really odd smell, almost like brandy. Daughter described the smell as like raisins. Daughter and husband couldn't even eat a spoonful due to the terrible taste, but young son loved it! Won't buy again.
