Cooking Instructions - General. Cooking appliances vary. These instructions are given as a guide.; Hob - From Ambient. Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a bowl. Place the bowl over a saucepan of hot (not boiling) water, taking care to ensure that the water does not enter the mixture. As the chocolate melts, stir until it is free flowing and ready for use. Avoid overheating and ensure that all utensils are dry.; Microwave - From Ambient. Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a small non-metallic bowl. Heat on full power for 30 seconds (Cat E/850W), 30 seconds (Cat D/750W) and stir. Repeat until the chocolate is completely melted, stirring thoroughly to mix well.
