It is like a Brie with a hint of blue. Very pleasant. I wouldnt let anything sweet, like chutney, near it because you'll lose the tang of blue. I liked it with a brittle thin, neutral tasting, cracker.
But this is still a lovely cheese. A mash up of brie or camembert and blue cheese.
Flash Sale £ 1.80 It’s creamy & it was OK but compared to Brie or Camembert it’s virtually tasteless. When the manufacturer describes it as tangy (even strength 2) I expect a tang. This had no tang whatsoever. Disappointing Bland
To my taste this is perfection. A previous review mentions light on flavour. I disagree. This isn't Gorgonzola or mature Stilton. They are great, but strong. This Cambozola is lovely and creamy and has a great low to medium tang to it's taste, so is light enough so that eating loads of it isn't a chore. Very highly recommended.
I've never tried Cambozola before so had no idea what to expect really. I found the taste strength to be somewhere between brie and stilton. Stilton is a little too strong for me but this is just right.
This is a well made cheese. It is not as creamy as a good cambazola nor does it have the blue tangy punch of a good cambazola. For those who like a very mild cheese it is probably OK. Definitley no good for the soup I intended to make. Just too lacking in flavour.
