Convenience at the expense of flavour and texture
Added to a soup I was making. Won't do that again. This isn't frozen raw butternut squash. It is cooked. Cooked way past the point you would cook it at home, to a flabby mush. No flavour I could detect. Some of the pieces still had tough skin attached, others still had the strandy innards you scrape out when preparing from scratch. Remained bright orange throughout. Horrible.

Great to have in the freezer
I hate preparing fresh butternut squash, its difficult to cut so having this in the freezer is brilliant as its already cut into chunks. Also very convenient as you can cook it from frozen.

not as good as fresh but so convenient
Not quite as good as fresh, but its so handy. It saves a lot of time and effort. The little cubes cook evenly and are easy to mash. I use it in a butternut squash and sage risotto and it works fine.

Butternut Squash, Carrot & Sweetcorn Puree
This is an easy puree to make and combines 3 nutritious vegetables. Adding pureed corn to your baby’s food from 6 months is a good idea to give added texture and taste.

Versatile and non mushy
Even my fussy eater likes it! If you don't cook it for too long it retains a bite in texture so it's great with chicken stir fry. You can also blend it into sauces and soups. This has become our staple frozen veg along with sweet potatoes, chopped onions and chopped galic.
