small chicken
was plenty for myself and granddaughter for for supper and loads left for next day enough for 2 more meals
no taste
this is the first time we have been disappointed in meat from morrisons. the chicken was tastless
Good Value Chicken
Yes - They are small - but I buy on the 3 for £10 and use half a chicken per person - great for jerk chicken, or a quick roast - we all like breast and to feed 6 adults roast breast is impossible! I then use the dark meat for soup or stew so 2 meals for 6 adults for a tenner! Also fits in the slow cooker or Nija so I can save using the oven and the taste of seasoned is great
good value
But I only buy 3 for £10 to feed my big dog. That said I have once used for a family meal. I find if you spatchcock it. I. E. Cut down back a flatten it out so breasts and legs are facing upwards in the roasting tray, it cooks lovely and I found it quite juicy, not dry and plenty of meat for 4 adults. But my dog loves it.
Chicken
Cooked the chicken , went to cut it , had nothing on the chicken just all bone and ribs , no breast , legs really skinny .. would not recommend, don’t wast your money
Lovely and great value for money.
I don't understand the negative reviews as I've bought these a few times and they've always been great. OK, there aren't plump breasts to carve through, but then it's a small chicken. I always spatchcock mine (remove the backbone with a sharp knife or scissors) and cook this way. It's far easier to portion too. Sprinkled with salt and pepper, a little oil and a few herbs, they're a great budget friendly source of protein.
