beef brisket joont
Gristle running right through joint . For over £25 I would have hoped for better .
tasteless and tough
Despite cooking on a low heat for 4 hours this joint was tough and tasteless! How annoying!!
Awful, inedible, riddled with fat
So very disappointing to start to carve a realise that a gently slow cooked joint is chewy and riddled with fat as opposed to pulling apart as it should. Ended up throwing away over 50%. Would never buy again.
half fat, little meat!
The piece of beef I recieved on my online order was 50% or more fat. It was disgraceful. I will never trust the Morrisons pickers to choose a decent piece of meat again. I'll go to the butchers myself instead.
Dreadful
My first joint was lovely, I slow cooked it and it was full of flavour, juicy and tender, and carved really well, the best bit of brisket we had had in years, so in my next shop I bought 2, one for using straight away and one for the freezer, the first one was awful, badly rolled bits of offcuts that was tough and grisly and gluttonous in the middle, and fell apart, no one would eat it except the dogs. Yesterday I got out the frozen joint, and after defrosting it didn’t look much better, badly rolled and badly strung off cuts again, but in my crock pot slow cooker it went this morning with the usual herbs etc, now in response to the smug review about slow cooking and people not knowing how to cook brisket, I bought my first slow cooker (tower) 40 yrs ago so I am not a novice in slow cooking or cooking a brisket joint, it was tough and tasteless and no one wanted to eat it, lucky dogs again. Morrisons brisket joint is a bit off a bit or miss, mostly miss and I shall not be buying another in the future, sorry
Terrible joint
When I received this it looked promising, upon preparing it had a massive gap in the middle so was a rolled piece not done very well. Once cooked it was like chewing on a leather shoe and I cooked it rare. Very disappointed and sadly will not purchase again.
