Cooking Guidelines
Hob - From Ambient. Cooking appliances vary. These instructions are given as a guide. Please ensure that the product is piping hot throughout before serving. Do not reheat.
10-12 Minutes
1. Allow 75g of rice per person.
2. Place in a sieve and rinse in cold running water.
3. Place in a large pan of boiling water and return to the boil.
4. Stir once and cover.
5. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until the rice is tender.
6. Drain in a sieve and rinse with boiling water before serving.
7. Serve and enjoy.

Vile!
I have been cooking rice for a long time. This is the worst rice I have cooked with, confirmed after trying several cooking techniques. We found this to be inedible.

Every bit as good as top brands
Cooked properly this rice does not go mushy and I can find little difference between this and top brands. However, Morrisons recommended cooking time can lead to it going too soft. I cook it according to a method described to me by an Asian lady. It is a two-fold process. Firstly there is no need to apportion the rice to volume of water; simply boil a saucepan of water and add the desired amount of rice. Boil to taste, from around 9 to 11 minutes, and drain. Replace in pan and put on lid and leave for anything from 6 to 9 minutes. By combining the initial boiling and the subsequent dumming you can arrive at rice perfect for you. Less boiling, a firmer rice, more boiling softer.

It's rice but not as we know it!
I have cooked Basmati rice for forty years. I doubt this is even Basmati rice. It is shorter in length. It cooks far too quickly, as if it is 'easy cook' rice. In other words, it goes to a mush very quickly. I will keep the remainder of this Morrisions product in case Morrisons or the Trading Standards wish to test it.

Quick easy rice
Very easy to prepare, cooks in 10 mins, beware if you go over the 10 minutes it overcook very easily. I rinse in cold water & drain thoughily, then add to stir fried veg in wok. Nasi Goreng style. Perfect every time.
