Product Description
Delicious sparkling Martini Asti - the Bright One just got brighter! Don't get confused: same name, very different drink. This Martini is a gorgeous bundle of fizz and fun and a lot more grown-up than it looks.
Martini Asti is a DOCG sparkling wine, the highest classification for Italian wines. Made using the Martinotti method, dating back to 1895, it is the result of a strictly controlled fermentation process which guarantees consistently high quality and captures the natural sweetness of the Moscato Bianco grape. Only the finest grapes from the heart of the Asti region are selected. In Martini Asti there is a rich and subtle aromatic harmony of aroma and taste with notes of pear, green apple and peach giving Martini Asti a light, deliciously fruity taste.

History
For over 150 years MARTINI has been passionate about crafting quality wine. Regional Information
The growing areas for Asti (Piedmont) are difficult areas in which to grow vines. High on the hillsides the vineyards are small, steep and labour intensive. But their unique climate is perfect for the aromatic freshness we need.
Machines can not easily operate here and harvesting is nearly always by hand.

Vinification Details
In 1895, Federico Martinotti, invented a new method to create Spumante. By creating the secondary fermentation in a closed and sealed vat he found a way not only to make wines of consistently high quality, but also a way to do it more quickly in order to preserve the natural freshness of the grapes. The process is now: grapes to fermentation, secondary fermentation to bottle.

Superb
In my opinion it's far more superior than dry old champagne or prosciutto.

Love it !
Don't like champagne as I find it too dry. So always buy a few bottles of this at Christmas, Easter etc. Wonderful stuff!
