Recipes
Serves 1 as a main meal or 2 as a starter
You will need:
1 Malay Taste Laksa Kit
150g prawns, shelled, raw
150ml water
Tips: Cooked prawns may be used instead of raw, simply add to the pan at the same time as the drained noodles and ensure they are heated through before serving. You may substitute prawns with diced chicken or chopped vegetables.
1. Place noodles in a bowl, cover with boiling water and leave to soften for about 5 minutes.
2. In a saucepan, over a low heat, mix the prawns with the sachet of laksa paste. Ensure the prawns are completely coated with the paste so that they soak up the flavours.
3. Add the coconut milk and water, and simmer until the prawns are pink and cooked through.
4. Drain the noodles and add to the pan. Simmer for a further 2-3 minutes until the noodles are fully cooked. Ladle into bowls and serve.
Add bean sprouts, chopped coriander and cucumber strips to finish off the dish.

Awful. Coconut milk is not coconut-y, ratios aren't right, tastes bland bland bland. Would rather Morrisons stock a decent jar paste (Yeos or Ayam). Does this product get repeat customers?!
Not enough coconut milk
Not enough coconut milk for the ratio of milk to paste. It was all too thick and strong tasting when mixed together and not enough to cover all the noodles and chicken i added. It may have tasted alot better if there was double the coconut milk
Okish needs a little more zing!
Expected an explosion of flavours but was somewhat disappointed. Spices a little lacking not overly coconutty good consistency, needed more lime and a tad more spice but the best thing was that it was a complete kit with noodles at a great price. Other kits never include noodles would buy again but maybe add my own spices and lime for some extra zing
