Delicious Chinese Pork
I take half a jar and cover a pork fillet then cook in the air fryer. It tastes delicious. Serve with stir fried vegetables and sticky rice and its as good, if not better than any take away.
Too salty
I bought 2 jars of this. Tried the first one and thought it wasn't bad but a bit too salty. Had the second jar this evening and wish I hadn't as now feel sick. So salty it tasted more like anchovy than char siu. Will stick to making my own in future.
Authentic taste
This is a really nice and simple to prepare Char Sui sauce. I use it with a pork fillet, marinate overnight then oven bake above a tray of water to prevent it drying out. It tastes delicious and makes juicy yummy char sui which tastes better than a lot of takeaways.
Lovely
Really nice on chicken or pork. You do need to use quite a lot, but definitely worth it.
