Laphroaig Select Single Malt Whisky combines five specially selected casks of our iconic Islay scotch. Our master distiller carefully draws whisky matured the historic way in Oloroso sherry butts, Pedro Ximinez seasoned hogsheads, and first-fill bourbon quarter casks to create this distinctive blend. The heart is drawn from a final maturation in new, American oak — a rarity in Scotch whisky production — which adds bold flavor. The final addition is our quintessential single malt scotch, Laphroaig 10, which is aged for a decade. With flavors of smoky peat, spicy oak and a surprising sweetness, Laphroaig Select Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a fantastic introduction to peated whisky.

Single Malt

Let me start that this is a very nice product. It is smooth on the taste, and you know that once consumed, the quality is their to enjoy. I recommend this to anyone who likes the odd tipple during the dark winter months. I am sure it can be enjoyed all year round. It is one of the better single malt's i have tasted.

One of the best Islay malts

Really enjoyed this malt whisky, with just enough hint of smokeyness and peat. Just neat with a splash of water to open up the perfect taste. If you like a smokey/peaty malt then highly recommended.

Lovely Islay Whiskey

This is a real marmite whiskey, you either love it or hate it. It is very smoky, with a 'medicinal', yet complex taste. If you like strong distinctive flavours, you'll probably love it - I do & this is a real bargain at £23/bottle

Awful - avoid

This whisky is so awful we thought it was off. It tastes medicinal, like hospital smell, with a strong smokey addition. I've been bought 2 bottles of this now and both went down the drain.

Excellent price

Really is the best. Real 'peaty' taste. An absolute bargain price from Morrisons.
