Cooking Guidelines
Hob - From Ambient. For the perfect rice
It's as easy as
(1) To make perfect rice start with a ratio of 1 cup rinsed rice 4 cups of water.
(2) Bring the water to the boil and add the rice.
(3) Stir and bring back to the boil, keeping uncovered. Reduce to a rolling simmer for approx. 8-10 minutes or until rice is tender.
(4) Drain water, cover & leave to stand for 3 minutes.
(5) Lightly fork through the grains and serve.
Cooking appliances vary and these instructions are given as a guide. Please ensure that the rice is piping hot throughout before serving. Do not reheat.

Long basmati rice
I’ve used many other brands but these are the best.

Not long grain
Used to be brilliant, until they changed the quality of the long grain to very short grain rice. Cheat. Im an expert in cooking rice so there is no chance Laila could fool me. Bought x5 bags as my family are big eaters of rice. Not even nice for an everyday rice let alone for biryani. Very disappointed!

Low price for great quality.
This is just as Laila Green pack basmati rice. Can't really distinguish the difference. Why spend more for Laila green pack.

Lovely rice
These rice cook so well. Very nice for pilao or biryani. Not so fragrant and soft for plain white rice. Highly recommended for polao. Very long and cook beautifully
