A Blend of Epic Proportions
The place was Skye - the largest island of Scotland's inner hebrides. Shaped by the Black Cuillin Mountains, wild seas and hidden valleys Ian Macleod poured his very soul into a secret family recipe rich in island tradition. He sought only the most exceptional Peated island malts matching them with smooth Speyside and highland malts and grain whiskies. True to the clan motto 'hold fast', Macleod then insisted every cask spend at least eight years coming of age - to create a deep, complex dram worthy of the name Isle of Skye blended scotch whisky.

Skye high.

Really smooth easy drinking beauty. A hint of peat, dried fruit and a slight sweetness. Blended very well and on par with more expensive whiskys. The Ant is pleased! Hic...

A REALLY GREAT DRAM FOR LOVERS OF PEATED WHISKIES!

Straight off the bat, I would recommend that you completely ignore the review left on this whisky by morey, back in 2019: they obviously have no idea about different whiskies, misspelled a Scotch whisky as whiskey, and consequently has dragged down the score on a perfectly good product! Annoyingly, their comment has even attracted a thumbs up as a useful review! So what do I think? Well, as ever, I first nosed the whisky, before tasting it, straight: it was warm, smooth, peaty I really liked it. I then tried it over ice, let down with water, and let down with sparkling mineral water for me: straight, or let down with water, were the standout winners. On offer at £15 a bottle, this is an absolute steal at the regular price of £19, I still think this is really good value. In sum: Macleods Isle of Skye is now top of my blended whisky list Ive ordered more! If youre not a fan of peated whiskies, though, I recommend you totally avoid it or give it to me!

Awful

This is presented as a quality product, but it is the worst Whiskey I have ever tasted. There seems to be a background medicinal taste like in some American root beers.
