I wish it was the old recipe
As others have commented they changed the ingredients a few years back and ruined a childhood favourite.
What Has Heinz Done To Oxtail Soup
I use to love Heinz Oxtail soup. We use to have Oxtail Soup on mash potatoes when I was a kid. The soup use to be dark black in colour and taste wonderful. Now the recipe has change its disgusting. It's red in colour due to the added tomato and has an awful taste and smell. It when down the sink. Bring back the original recipe of Oxtail soup Heinz.
Not a touch on Baxter's
The worst Oxtail soup, Oxtail is my favourite soup, shops own brands are far better than this. Baxter's oxtail knocks this out the park but for some reason Morrisons don't seem to be selling Baxter's Oxtail anymore
I love it
I dont understand the comments about the thin watery carrot tasting non meat soup. I think its entirely the opposite. My friend also has it and I know likes it very much. It does have meat, it is thick and it does taste lovely. Ah well I suppose we are all different
bland!
I haven't eaten oxtail soup for a fair few years and when I got a tin of this in my parcel from the food bank I had a rush of excitement and a throwback to sitting around my parents table tucking into this soup with crusty bread and licking the bowl clean! Oh how my bubble was burst! The oxtail soup I knew and loved was rich, thick and actual bits of fatty meat in it. the reddy brown soup I just had tasted of nothing....there were some slivers of some pale vegetable and no meat at all. all I could taste was a peppery tomato soup that was very very runny! the oxtail soup I knew and loved was thick and used to stick to your spoon......this watery mess runs off your spoon. very very disappointed and I will be passing any tins I get back to the food bank......yeah yeah I know I should be grateful for whatever I get given, but honestly it's been an hour since I ate the soup and I feel like I haven't eaten anything!
Poor quality.
Where is the oxtail? A measly 1%.
