Product information

A big-hearted Aussie Chardonnay bursting with peach, apple and citrus flavours. We think founder Thomas Hardy would have delighted in its grapefruity, appley zip and thoroughly approved of the oaky edge. How about tiger prawns with this beauty?

More about this product;

The Bankside Chardonnay is a tribute to Hardy's founder Thomas Hardy who set up the first cellars at Bankside in South-Eastern Australia 150 years ago. And what a tribute. Big green apples, peaches and ripe grapefruit and lime collide in here but its all head together with a classic Chardonnay oak that comes from barrel-ageing that Tom would be proud of.
It's definitive Aussie Chardonnay this, and good enough to enchant barbecue or party guests by pairing up with big fat tiger prawns, or a delicious marinated chicken. Go on, you know you want to…
- White Wine, - South Eastern Australia, - Appearance: Brilliant, pale straw, - Palate: White peach, cream and pineapple. Juicy and generous creamy texture with sweet fruit and lemon sherbet finish

History

Easy drinking

Im not usually a fan of white wine but this is a very nice, quaffable Chardonnay. Not harsh or acidic like many can be. Good value too.

Lovely.

I was a little sceptical given the price but this is a lovely wine. It is goes down smoothly and doesn't have that vinegary taste some cheap wines can have. Will definitely buy again.

Found my tipple!!

I bought this on the basis of Norcot Chris's review. I'm usually a red drinker.. but wanted something refreshing and cold for the summer... and this is lovely. not a heavy wine to make you feel toooo tipsey.... too quickly... but a wine you COULD share!! (i didn't!) it will be a regular buy... thanks Chris

Excellent

We've been huge fans of this wine ever since we first spotted it in our local Morrisons a few years ago. Easy drinking, smooth.
