Nice but dear.
Nice sized duck legs with a decent amount of meat on them. Good flavour and if cooked well, quite tender. But at over £10 a kilo, they quite expensive for what they are!
tender
Admittedly this product is expensive, but there was enough meat on the legs for two people. I dry fried the duck legs to brown the outside. I then made a red wine and mushroom sauce. Added bacon and additional finely chopped carrots. Cooked in a casserole and served with rice. Wonderful.
Cost has gone ridiculous
This is too dear, it's never been this price before. I have a dog that has food intolerance and regular need to buy it. I need to check elsewhere. Also! Ordered through click and collect with a weeks notice and when I've received an email stating they haven't got any duck, three times I've been let down.
dodgy Duck
We opened the Duck last night (2/6) and it absolutely stank - we didnt dare eat it as, from the smell, it was clearly rotten. The use by date was 3/6 and we had kept the duck refrigerated from the day of delivery. It was odd as it was vacuum packed and therefore very disappointing. Took ages to get rid of the smell.
Stinky duck
This is the second time I've opened the pack to a very unpleasant smell. There's a label on the pack which says to leave for ten mins to allow any containment odour to disappear, however even after doing this, the smell during cooking was revolting and permeated the entire house. I decided to abort mission and bin it, and given that this is the second time it's happened I definitely won't be buying Gressingham duck again as there's clearly a problem.
bad handling
Ordered these online; opened the package and the stench was revolting. All well within date, but part of the meat was green and rotten. Got a full refund, but the product obviously hadn't been stored / handled correctly for it to be so rotten.
