I find clear blue tests temperamental, either not enough sample or too much and then it becomes a waste, therefore recommend using the dip method
Great Product
I used cheaper non digital sticks 5 days after my period was due and had multiple false negatives. I was confident I was pregnant so we spent more money on this one - we got a clear pregnant indication with in minutes. In future I would skip the cheap unreliable sticks and go for this clear blue digital every time. The dating part estimates how far you are from conception not from your last period so bear that in mind, but on your first scan they will change your date based on your babies size anyway so I wouldnt make the date estimation the reason to buy it. Just a clear pregnancy indication is the reason to buy this and worth every penny.
Very good when you understand how it works.
Ok, so let's apply a little logic to this test & state what it does & doesn't do, since I think clearblue maybe weren't all that specific. It DOESN'T tell you exactly how many weeks pregnant you are as we would date a pregnancy here in the UK, it's not designed to. It DOES, however, give you a good idea of how many weeks you are from CONCEPTION. My result was 3+, which is pretty much bang on since my ovulation date was a smidge over 3 weeks ago. Which puts me at 5 weeks 3 days pregnant since we date from the 1st day of the last period. Hence why if the date of LMP isn't known, the sonographer generally adds 2 weeks on to the measurements during the dating scan to calculate due date. And let's face it, if you're still at the 'pee on a stick to find out' stage, then the chances are you're not that far along. So, going by rule of thumb for how pregnancies here are measured, a 1-2 result will put you at around 3-4 weeks pregnant. A 2-3 result puts you at around 4-5 weeks pregnant, & a 3+ will be 5+ weeks pregnant. Overall, given what it's designed to do since it's essentially just another pee stick with a few bells and whistles on, it's still quite a nifty little test for those of us who are curious about when the little one 1st appeared & started to wreak their own special brand of chaos on our hormones.

on the advert Clear blue claim that this test tells you how many weeks pregnant you are . My dad bought me this in a hope I would have an accurate idea ! , I knew I was more than 3 weeks pregnant . If you are more than 3 weeks then the test will only read 3+ ....so if you're 4 , 5 ,6 or more weeks pregnant then you won't know accurately - so it's a waste of time . save your money and buy a cheaper one
