Product Description
In 1928, botanist and explorer, Clarence Elliott brought jungle fowl back from Patagonia to Stow-on-the Wold, Gloucestershire. These rare birds were crossbred to create generations of pedigree hens that to this day lay beautiful, colourful, hard-shelled eggs with deep yellow yolk.
Decades of experience have gone into caring for our fabulous birds ensuring their health and welfare (as well as that of the British farmers who care for them) are of the highest standard. Clarence Court birds lay at their own natural, slow speed, resulting in distinctively richer eggs.
When you see the Clarence Court crown you know it's from our exclusive line of traditional breed birds, roaming free on acres of England's green and pleasant land from dawn until dusk, grazing on the best maize enriched diet.

Not fresh
These eggs had a week to go on the sell by date. The shells were weak. The first egg was perfect. The yolks burst open on the second, third and fourth. The whites were like milky water which shows they were not fresh. Poached the fifth which also had watery white. Yolks were orange and delicious. Pity about the whites. One left!

Nice but small
These were lovely eggs but I was disappointed with the size. Next time Ill get the Burford Brown, which are bigger and just as delicious.

Tasty
Unusual and fun shade of blue, which amuses my son and adds a little variety to my mundane existence. Also very tasty, which makes a pleasant change! Normally I find eggs taste of very little, so I was very pleased to find my scrambled eggs actually tasted of something! These are on our weekly essentials list.
