Product information

A fruit-driven and crisp white wine from the most renowned Spanish wine region Rioja, crafted by the leading winery Campo Viejo. Pairs perfectly with lemon and herb chicken breast, seafood, goats cheese, creamy pasta, summer salads and tofu & veggie stir fry. A great wine for aperitif moments and dinners with friends. Best served at 8-10°C.

Tasting Notes:
A very intense nose, with elegant notes of fruit and white flowers from the Viura, complemented with tropical aromas that Verdejo exhibits in Rioja, giving the wine much more intensity and complexity. On the palate, surprisingly intense fruit, excellent texture and very good acidity, coming largely from the white Tempranillo Blanco, making it both refreshing and delicious.

Campo Viejo is committed to reduce its carbon footprint by implementing initiatives such as reducing the bottle-weight which has resulted in 30% less carbon emissions, careful water management (average water used to produce a single bottle of Campo Viejo is 0.80L as compared to the Spanish average of 2.25L) and protecting the biodiversity amongst other projects.

Vinification Details
A highly protected harvest to keep all the grape aromatic precursors. Short maceration, in contact with the skins, followed by light pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at temperatures kept in the range of 12 °C to 16 °C to maximise aromas. Contact with fine lees after fermentation adds complexity to the wine and the palate gains in texture and weight.

Dry and crisp white

I like the red Rioja by the same brand so thought I would try the white. It's delicious - dry, crisp and fruity. Chill well and enjoy with chicken or salad.

A nice crisp fruity white wine that went well with my pasta dinner. Will buy again but probably only if on offer.

This is my first time trying this wine and I must say it’s delicious. It’s refreshing, crisp and has a nice fruity taste.

Lovely crisp white wine. Reasonably dry but with quite a fruity flavour. Very refreshing when served well chilled.
