Taken when necessary

I reluctantly give my children calpol because they are sensitive to certain E-numbers. This product contains 5, including a colouring which I find completely unnecessary. Most medicines available do contain synthetic colourants which I find a shame, because the last thing I want to do when I'm trying to nurse a child with a fever or ache is to induce diarrhoea. These ingredients are banned from children's food yet are strangely allowed in medicine because of their less frequent consumption (perhaps mine are the only children ill aaaaallll the time). I would like to know if Morrisons' own version of this contains certain ingredients as currently none are listed in their product information. Bottom line: always have some in the cupboard, use only when necessary. It's at a competitive supermarket price here so I have no issues recommending it, just read the small print!
