I used it in cake mixture and in icing and they both turned out a stunning purple colour. If you're looking for a food colouring, I would by it. Impressed!
Ruined my macaroons that now look pale grey instead of purple or lilac. I've added a lot of it and didn't make any difference. Very poor product. I had a pink one and it is no good as well. What a shame!
Used about 1/3rd of the contents to colour 12 cupcakes vibrant purple! very happy with the results. Haven't used in icing yet but it works very well in cupcakes
This looked so nice. Mixing in the cake it was more like blue/green black. So added more to see if the colour got better but it didn't. End result was the cakes looked grey before cooking and grey with a tiny purple hint in bright light.
Adding it to icing sugar again, it came out grey and I only added a few drops. Ended up adding a lot of the pink colour before it finally made the icing look purple. And then nothing like the packet, more lilac.
I threw the rest out, won't bother with it again and its a shame as we were making multi coloured cakes. Pretty pink ones and what looks like lumps of stone.
