Hob - From Ambient. Empty the Madeira Wine Gravy Mix into a small saucepan. Using a whisk, gradually blend in 300ml (1/2 pint) of water. Bring to the boil over a medium heat, stirring continuously. Simmer, uncovered, for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and serve.
Lovely flavored gravy that adds a dash of heightened taste to a dish - and does not leave a layer of fat at the roof of your mouth like some gravy granules do!. Great with Beef or Venison.
I've loved this gravy for years but becoming difficult to find it and don't understand why as it's delicious, goes with everything. I make mainly vegetarian meals and it complements every meal.
Morrisons are now the only big Supermarket that sell this product which baffles me.
It makes a great sauce that goes with anything from roast Pork to Sausages and Mash. Smooth and rich taste and if you add a little less water than suggested it intensifies the taste experience even more. It's brilliant.
I use a couple of oxo cubes, a spoon of cornflour and just a teaspoon of this Madeira mix. Makes a lovely rich and full of flavour gravy. Guests always comment on my gravy and I put it down to this magical product. Fabulous.
