Processed Peas (95%), Water, Sugar, Salt, Colours (Riboflavin, Brilliant Blue FCF)
Cooking Guidelines
Hob - From Ambient. It's easy peasy!
It only takes a few minutes to heat me in a pot on the hob. Empty contents into a saucepan. Heat gently for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not allow to boil.; Microwave - From Ambient. 750W 2 1/2 mins
Place contents in a microwaveable container, cover and vent. Microwave on full power for 1 1/2 minutes, stir and re-cover. Microwave on full power for a further 1 minute. Allow to stand for 1 minute and stir before serving. For higher wattage microwaves heating times should be reduced.

More liquid than peas

I have bought these regularly for the last few years, but not any more. Have Batchelors added more water to save on costs? I used to remove these from saucepan with a spoon, now it has to be a slotted one, with only enough peas for one person, not two. The excellent flavour is no compensation however.

Awful

Threw away 2 tins, just like green water when cooked. I will not be buying Bigga peas anymore.

Where are the peas?

Used to buy regularly but will not be buying again. Like soup with a few hard split peas floating across the plate. Very disappointing

Artificial colours

Taste nice but why do they need to use artificial blue colouring !!

best mushy peas

Nice and thick, perfect with mint sauce. These are not runny like other brands. A favourite in my house.
