The toilet roll is visibly bigger than other rolls, and feels thicker and less fragile when you take even a single piece off.
Works exactly the same as other toilet roll, although definitely less worried that it might break apart while using...
Unfortunately I'm not sure the above pluses will stop me from continuing to purchase a cheaper option.
