Preparation and Usage
Recipes
(Makes 1 loaf or 10 rolls)
All you need is:
500g Wright's bread mix and 320ml of lukewarm water.
Hand Baking
1. Place bread mix in a bowl or food mixer, add water and mix together for 5 minutes to form a ball of dough.
2. Place the dough on to a floured surface and leave for 5 minutes. Knead and stretch for 2 minutes. Mould into a ball, rest for 5 minutes.
3. Shape the dough and place on to a greased baking tray or into a large (2b) loaf tin (for rolls divide into 10 small balls). Cover with a damp cloth or loose cling film and leave to rise in a warm place for 30-40 minutes until the dough has doubled in size. Pre-heat the oven to 230°C (450°F) or 210°C (410°F) for fan assisted ovens or Gas Mark 8.
4. Uncover and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes for a loaf, 15 minutes for rolls, until golden brown and sounds hollow when you tap the base. Turn out and cool on a wire rack.

Left an after\-taste.
I make bread frequently. I've used all Wright's mixes now. This particular mix left an unpleasant yeast flavoured after-taste. I doubt I'll be buying this one again.
Excellent!
My mother, main white bread consumer, is now eating this fresh from the oven. Its scrumptious! Lovely toasted. Even I , one who eat mainly wholemeal, love this too. Bread form he shelf ditched. Instructions are easy to follow. Amazing to see how bread is made. next trying the wholemeal. You won't regret it.
Too hot.
Nice and easy to get together. As yeast is scarce it's a good alternative. I think the temperature is a little bit too much. I caught the top a little and the bottom was a little bit under. Will try again dropping temp to 6 or 7 and might try adding herbs or cheese. Happy baking.
so easy.
I purchased this as an emergency standby . I know how to make bread from scratch . This is first class . A good pantry staple . I will buy again .
Wrights Premium White Bread Mix
Just Bought this and used in new bread maker. Delicious! So easy to make and truly the best tasting bread, crusty outside, white and soft inside. Flavoursome and the boss approves. Best bread we have tasted. Well done Wrights and thank you
