Product information

Meaning 'flowery' in French, Fleurie is one of the most refined members of the famous Beaujolais family. The thin-skinned Gamay grapes that go into making it are hand-picked in whole bunches as the Autumn leaves turn from green to gold, to protect their delicate juice from damage. The result? A fruity, floral wine that's blooming marvellous.

A good wine

I opened the first bottle after 3 months; the wine was well-balanced and most acceptable drunk on its own or with food. The next day it had actually improved a bit, unlike the comments of others. I had simply recorked the bottle and not kept it in the fridge. This is the view of Kevin, not Sis.

Lovely chilled, great light transition from summer to winter drinking.

Superb!

I totally agree with the previous reviewer. Delighted to have found that this is what is says on the tin! But I do use a vacuum pump and drink a day or so afterwards with no loss in flavour.

Young Beaujolais at it's best!

A delicious, light, even though it's 13%, young Beaujolais! Full of summer fruits, all the usual suspects, Really excellent with all the 'light meats' and particularly good with soft ripened cheeses and Quince jelly. A word of advice; You need to finish the bottle on the same day because on day two, if any remains, it will taste of the farmyard!
