Product information

Morrisons Signature wines are our finest and this stunning South African Chenin Blanc is proof. Crisp and well balanced, with intense appley fruit and a touch of honey, it'll go beautifully with mildly spicy foods, such as chicken satay.

More about this product;

When explorer Jan Van Riebeeck – the founder of Cape Town - landed on the southernmost tip of Africa, so began a whole new adventure. Most importantly he planted the first vines that became today's vineyards and that started the world's love affair with South African wine. Morrisons Signature wines are very much part of that story. Our wine experts only put the signature on wines that are the best-in-class, at the best prices. And they've unearthed an absolute cracker with this brilliant Chenin Blanc. Crisp, fruity and beautifully balanced, it's the perfect partner for a creamy pasta bake or a Saturday night take-away Thai green curry. If you haven't tried Chenin Blanc before, you'll find it a refreshing change from your usual Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc.

Vinification Details
Grapes are crushed and destemmed before pressing and the free run juice is transferred to stainless steel fermentation tanks, where the fermentation is controlled at between 12 and 14 degrees to preserve the pure fruit flavours of the grapes. The wine is then kept on its lees until the final blending and 10% of the blend is aged for 9 months with French oak staves. This lends the final wine a length and texture without detracting from the subtle stone fruit and floral flavours

Tasty

This is a lovely crisp wine. Easy to drink and full of flavour. Great white wine to have in the fridge. This will be a regular addition to my online shopping.

Excellent Wine

This is good. A really full-bodied white wine, which is hard to come by, I find. It is nicely balanced in flavour, too - rich and still subtle.

Love this wine!

This is one of my favourite wines, it's crisp and fresh and really easy to drink. Cheap enough to drink mid week, and special enough for dinner parties. I buy in bulk!
