Product information

They say good things come to those who wait. And this coveted Barbera d'Asti can only be sold from March 1 the year after the grapes are harvested. It keeps well, developing rich, bold flavours over time (though after a year of waiting, we'd understand if you'd rather drink it now).

Barbera from where?

Average product. Smells, looks and tastes as any average cheap wines sold in any supermarket. It should be a superior one produced in limited vineyards in the Asti area, Piedmont. This was the main reason I bought it, although I was also enticed by the reduction. Unfortunately, it's another no no. No sweetness, no velvet. I could have given 2 stars if it wasn't from where it says it comes from.

This is a truly lovely wine, full of sunshine and happiness. Deep in colour and rich yet smooth in taste.
