450g sausages
1 onion, sliced
2 tbs tomato purée
175g mushrooms, sliced
300ml cold water
3 Easy Steps...
1 Pre-heat oven to 180°C, 350°F, Gas Mark 4.
2 Fry sausages for 5 mins, until browned. Drain excess liquid. Add onion and fry for 5 mins, or until golden brown. Stir tomato purée and cook for 1 min.
3 Transfer to casserole dish and add mushrooms. Mix seasoning with water, stir into casserole dish. Cover and cook in the oven for 1 hour, until the sausages are cooked through.

Not for English\/Irish sausage
Might be good with spicy sausage. Has an extremely overwhelming dried tomato flavour and that is it. Yuck! Will never buy again.
Quick+Easy to prep
I use this as a cheats mix for my Sausage and kidney casserole,adding chopped lambs kidneys, diced ca rrots and potatoes (partially cooked in m/wave) reserving cooking water for casserole mix, add celery salt if needed and some mashed swede to thicken and sweeten, cook in slow cooker adding dumplings towards the end of cooking time and serve with mash or boiled taters.

I love this hmas it says in the instructions but done in the slow cooker and I use it for a spicy version for my partner with tinned tomatoes, baked beans and spicy sausages
Delicious and simple
I followed the recipe but with vegetarian sausages. I added dumplings for the last 20 minutes and it was delicious. So tasty and easy to make.
