History
Vina Ventisquero was established in 1998. Family-owned, pioneers in sustainability and with 100% estate-grown fruit. In 2011 they were the first winery in Chile to have 100% of their vineyards certified sustainable by Wines of Chile. All recycled water waste is used to irrigate vineyards, organic pest control is favoured over chemical usage and each vineyard is specifically tailored to nurture the unique attributes of its place, the environment and the local community.

Regional Information
The wine comes from the Tapihue Vineyard in Casablanca Valley, Chile. 15km from the pacific ocean with maritime breezes to keep temperatures cool and bright daytime sunshine. The vineyard was planted in 2000 with the first vintage of this wine made in 2005. With elevations of 900 - 1300 feet and granitic soil composition with red clay and sandy loam. The exposure is North-South and the training method is VSP Trellis system; bilateral cordon training.

Fermentation was in Stainless steel tanks with temperatures of 13.5 degrees Celcius to 16 degrees Celcius for 30 days.
The wine had a maceration of 30-40 Days with no Malolactic Fermentation.
The wine then aged in 30,000 L Stainless Steel Tanks and spent 4 months on the lees.
