Product information

Hannibal Lecter, from the classic multi-Oscar winning The Silence Of The Lambs, famously liked to wine-match his victims with a “nice Chianti”, of which this is one of the best around. We prefer to recommend rich beef dishes or a delicious steak.

More about this product;

What do you think of when someone mentions Chianti? Delicious Italian red wine from Tuscany? Sitting outside, having dinner with friends on holiday, somewhere near Florence or Sienna? Wherever you open it and whoever you share it with, you'll love this smooth red wine, with ripe red fruits and a hint of vanilla. Created in Italy and aged beautifully since 2008, this Riserva was made to be enjoyed with a table full of friends and some fabulous Italian food. Vinification Details
The best Sangiovese grapes are selected for Piccini Chianti Riserva. The grapes undergo soft pressing before being processed using the traditional method on the skins. They are fermented at controlled temperatures with a long maceration period to extract maximum fruit and balanced tannins. The wine spends 12 months in large oak barrels before release.
