Félix Solís SL winery was founded in April 1975 and lies along the current national road that links Madrid to Cadiz. The winery is one of the largest family-owned wineries in the world and is fitted with the most modern production and storage facilities. The World Ranking of Wines and Spirits (WRWS) gave Felix Solis sixth place in the top 100 Best Wineries of the World and second place in the category `Best Wineries of Spain'.
The limestone-rich soils provide the perfect growing conditions for grapes, resulting in high-quality wines of great character and finesse. With very hot days during the summer, cold nights during the winter and low rainfall all year round, the local climate provides the perfect conditions for viticulture.
Harvesting starts after a strict control of the ripening process to obtain the right balance of sugar, acidity and phenolic maturity. The traditional rosé methods are employed to ensure the wine acquires its characteristic shade. The wine undergoes a short period of cold maceration of around 8 to 10 hours. Fermentation takes place at 16-18 º C for 10-12 days, resulting in a light, clean and fruity wine.
