Fantastic value for money. The veg is excellent quality
I used to have theses boxes regularly and was always happy, however purchased a box last week for the first time this year and the contents were so scant it was very poor value. Onions and carrots were ok, 3 super skinny parsnips and leeks, a Savoy cabbage and swede barely the size of an orange, and 8 small potatoes which by time peeled wouldn’t even feed 2. Wouldn’t have cost 3.50 if I’d purchased separately. Come on Morrison’s buck your ideas up!
Very happy with the amount and quality of the veg. Would love to see a wonky fruit box.
Ordered online for the first time. Two tiny parsnips I would never have picked myself and a swede almost as large as a football. A good quantity of onions/ carrots/ potatoes though. Anyone got a recipe for a tiny quantity of parsnip and a huge amount of swede?
Some of the vegetables are ok but mainly old. Was an online delivery and would definitely not have bought this if I had seen it in store.
You get what you pay for - and no more
I have ordered the wonky veg box a few times. Adding up the cost of the individualcontents, it comes to exactly the same price as if I'd bought the items separately - except I don't get to choose what I get. As others have commented, the box does arrive slightly damp, as if it's been stored outdoors, but I leave my veg box in the cool lean-to so it's fine. If storing the veg indoors, don't leave it in the box. The most recent veg box contained two items that had to have rot cut out of them, and the two skinny parsnips had seen better days. Other than that, I am happy to have a wonky option.
