More about this product;
Pinotage is South Africa's flavourful answer to Pinot Noir but it was very nearly the wine that never was. In 1925 Professor Perold at Stellenbosch University crossed the robust Cinsault grape with Pinot Noir, a difficult grape to grow. He planted the seeds, then got a new job, left and promptly forgot about them. The garden became overgrown and the fledgling vines seemed lost forever. Fate stepped in in the form of a young professor who rescued the vines just as a team of gardeners arrived with shears. The first wine was produced in 1941 and what a beauty this style has turned out to be. A complex wine with a fantastic history, it really is one not to be missed.

Brilliant example of a Pinotage done well
Pinotage can really divide opinions and we found this one to be fab! Dead juicy and lush with some good spice and tannin on the finish
Poor S/A frican plonk
My 2015 bottle was awful. No redeeming qualities
Attention! 2015 vintage is really poor!
We absolutely loved this wine last year and were shocked to discover that the bottle we bought today was horrendous! I mean really really bad. We took it to a dinner with friends and said how great it was and made complete fools of ourselves.... When we got home we discovered we had a 2014 bottle in the wine rack and we had just bought a 2015 one today. BEWARE, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME! DO NOT BUY THE 2015 BOTTLES! Morrisons, what have you done?
A Throughly Recommended Wine
This wine was awarded the "Decanter wine awards gold! award in 2015" A beautiful wine beating off competition costing several hundred pounds more, thoroughly recommended!
Really enjoyed this wine, added more to next week's shop!
