Disappointed!
I have had other similar cakes by other "own brands" and this is disappointing. The sponge tastes dry and off, and the topping is bland and best. I am a firm believer of "if I am going to eat naughty" it has to taste good!
dry and tasteless
Cake was dry, not much taste and only a thin layer of buttercream. Wouldnt buy again.
Not a good coffee cake
There was hardly any buttercream in the sandwich, very thin on the top. The cake was ok but only a slight taste of coffee. Very disappointing.
Nice but dry
Wasn't the best coffee and walnut cake I've had, but was OK. Cake seemed dry, and nuts seemed a little bitter. Edible though.
Not good 2 stars
It's a no from me. The entire cake crumbles and falls apart before you can get it on a plate, bounced onto the floor irritatingly, smashes, and made a right mess, same thing happens if you try to eat it, it falls apart falls away before you can eat it when picked up on fork etc. I don't like excessively crumbly, messy food thats inedible. I'd not bother buying. It tastes pretty boring, bitter with stale coffee. It's not a winner
Lovely cake
I buy this regularly and I think it is moist, and flavoursome. Lasts the two of us about 3 days.
