Opening: a tip...
1. Slide a sharp knife through the plastic that covers the meat and push it underneath, between it and the bottom of the pack. 2. Keeping the knife between the meat and the bottom of the pack, cut the plastic all the way around the pack. 3. Peel off the plastic on top lifting an edge with the knife once the pack has been cut all round is an easy way to get a grip on it.
cant open it
When I first saw the gammon I was very impressed there are 2 nice thick slices but when it comes to getting them out of the packaging thats another story I tried lifting the little corner bit and I pulled and pulled but it just wudnt budge and the hard plastic stuck in my thumb so I tried holding the corner with a tea towel to get a better grip but still nothing So out came the kitchen scissors and I had to cut away ALL the plastic till I was left with just the 2 slices of gammon covered in very tight plastic and still it wudnt come off after about 15 mins of tryin I was about to throw it up the wall when a teeny tiny little gap appeared and I managed to get the scissors in an cut it a bit bigger then hooray out came the gammon which was nothin special when cooked it was strangely dry and crumbly it was soooo much effort to get out the packaging I cant imagine someone elderly opening it at all and it really isnt worth the bother
