Loved it, as did the kids, 5 stars Best Pie I`ve had in years.
Looks good, nice and deep and the pastry is ok but the filling is under seasoned and really tasteless.
Not what it was.
Have had these regularly but have now eased off. Used to be full of large tender chicken chunks but no longer. Chicken is now small hard pieces, and i no longer look forward to it.
Did not enjoy
Thought Id give this pie a go, as Im a big fan of chicken and leek as a pie filling. The pastry was nice but that was the only redeeming thing. The chicken chunks were too small, the sauce just wasnt pleasant and I dont actually recall seeing any ham :(
Must have got a bad one of the batch here. Filling was stodgy and inedible, pastry couldn't even save it that was as bad, went in the bin ! Will stick to the meat pies that are baked on the premises, they are fab
I kind of liked the pie as the filling was good even though it was disappointing. I thought it would be chicken ham and leek. There was plenty of chicken and sauce but didn't see, ot taste any ham or leeks. Also the bone I found in it did put me off to be honest.
