The best dairy free cheese I've tried so far.
This has a hard texture and grated well and didn't have the almost vomit like smell that some competing brands do, including the most popular one. I used it to make macaroni cheese and was very pleased with the results. It took a while to melt fully into the sauce but it did and produced a smooth, well flavoured cheese sauce. Many dairy free cheese alternatives either smell vile or are too sweet and sickly but I think that this one has the balance just right. Worth a try anyway at the current offer price of £1.50.
This tastes like someone smeared coconut oil onto a monk's foot. do not buy this if you have functional taste buds
Taste is spot on, texture is wrong
The taste is absolutely spot on, very impressive but the texture is too hard and waxy so it cannot be used for sandwiches and crackers. While violife is not perfect texture wise, it is better than this.
Texture like dried out slime.
Tasteless, oddest texture ever, doesn't melt well.
the best vegan cheese
melts really well which some dairy free cheese do not. makes lovely cheese sauce
Smells like cheese bit of an odd texture
Yes it smells cheesy. however the problem is the texture it takes a lot of chewing and doesn't digest as well as the leading brand I don't think I would have this again too firm.
