Too many bones for my liking.
It would have been nice if they'd put some fish with the bag of bones I received. Might have been a one-off where they messed up but there were so many bones it was completely inedible!
Tasty and not too salty.
I have had kippers before from other supermarkets and always found them too salty but these are better. My husband and I have them for breakfast with wholemeal bread and butter and slices of Tomato. My only gripe if its difficult to get the skin off but apart from that they are very enjoyable.
These are gorgeous, wonderful flavour as you would expect from Scottish fish. We ate them with bread and butter and the only complaint was that there were not enough! Next time we’ll have a packet each!
makes a good tasty meal
Before I became housebound, I regularly used to buy Manx Kippers from my local Morrisons. So, fingers crossed, I hoped that these would be the same, juicy, mild cured Manx Kippers . They are not. These are less tender and have a much stronger flavour. And why on earth would a decently smoked kipper need added dye? Please start selling Manx Kippers again. Please!
