The oats in this cereal contain high levels of the soluble fibre beta glucans. A daily intake of 3g beta glucans has been shown to be beneficial in maintaining normal blood cholesterol levels and so reducing the risk of developing coronary heart disease. One 50g serving of this cereal will provide 1.4g beta glucans, 46% of the beneficial daily amount.

Good for mixing and v. low sugar.
I use this to mix with a muesli base. The nuts do add calories but its too rich to have by itself anyway. Most granola is 12g per 100g sugar so this is good.
Low sugar is not low calorie
I havent bought this before but was just about to when I checked the ingredients and nutrition Over 500 calories per 100g. Check the nutritional values very carefully if you are looking for low calorie cereal or diabetic friendly cereal. Of all of the cereal in the granola and muesli section this is the 2nd HIGHEST in CALORIES (the other is a honey granola with nuts and fruit), and that item isnt in the HEALTHIER range like this one is. I gave three stars as I am not basing this on taste and it would be unfair to give just one star on that basis. I am very angry that govt labelling legislation allows manufacturers to put such prominent wording on the front of packs, saying in this instance LOW SUGAR and ONLY 4% SUGAR .
